Sergio Ramos Would Prefer To Join Manchester United Over City For The Club’s History

Newspaper ‘AS’ informs that Sergio Ramos would prefer to join Manchester United over City for the club’s history, but his preferred option remains PSG, as was rumoured at the start. Both the city and the club are attractive prospects for the Spaniard, who would sign there for two seasons.

As Sergio Ramos explained in his goodbye press conference from Real Madrid, he didn’t renew his contract with the club as they refused to offer him a two-year deal. PSG, on the other hand, will offer him that deal. ‘AS’ reported on that as well as the details of other proposals. Manchester United and City are contemplating bringing him in, however the blue side of Manchester aren’t 100% sure.

They understand that Pep Guardiola doesn’t need to add to his already wide array of defenders, but they have approached Ramos as it would be an attractive move, especially considering the free transfer. The aforementioned source indicates that, if he had to choose, the Spaniard would prefer the Red Devils for their greater history and status.

But the player’s number one choice is Paris. Not only because it’s likely that he’ll receive a two-year contract, but the city itself attracts him. He sees himself alongside his family in the French capital, one of the most popular places for tourism around the world and commonly known as one of Europe’s most beautiful spots.

‘AS’ also indicates that PSG’s offer would be far superior to the others in terms of the money on the table. This is to be expected, given the recent signing of Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum from right under the noses of Barcelona, after he was offered a few better deal with the French club at the last minute. Owner Al-Khelaifi certainly has money to spare compared to most other clubs.
