Morocco, Portugal and Spain will be hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay will host the opening matches to mark the tournament’s centenary.
Making the announcement on Wednesday, FIFA said member associations from AFC and OFC were invited to launch bids for the World Cup 2034.
For the first time, the FIFA WORLD CUP will unite three continents and six countries in celebration of the Centenary, and the tournament itself.
The FIFA Council also approved the appointment of Mattias Grafström as FIFA Secretary General and interim, with immediate effect.
