Laliga President Talked About Real Madrid

LaLiga president Javier Tebas was interviewed on ‘GOL’ this Tuesday and he spoke, among other things, about Real Madrid’s interest in signing Kylian Mbappe.

The transfer window has yet to open this summer and Kylian Mbappe’s possible move to Real Madrid is still being talked about that. Even LaLiga president Javier Tebas spoke about it.

He did so this Tuesday in comments to ‘GOL’, where he also spoke about the Super League. “Real Madrid could sign Mbappe. They’d have to let other players go and the key thing is what happens with Bale. which in terms of the salary cap is very important. It would be very good for La Liga if Mbappe could stay,” he said.

“I think it’s difficult for a team to bring Haaland and Mbappe. You can’t keep everyone and also sign the best players,” Tebas added.

He also warned that LaLiga will not make any exceptions with Barca to allow them to break FFP rules to keep Messi. “The rules are for everyone.”

Tebas added that he thinks the Argentine “will stay” at Barcelona. He was not so convinced when asked about Sergio Ramos’ future at Real Madrid though. “I’d like him to stay, but I can’t say that will happen.

Tebas made reference to Zidane’s goodbye letter: Zidane has been a victim of spokesmen. Biased leaks. It happened to me with Filomena (the storm which hit Madrid earlier in 2021).

“I spoke to the director general of Real Madrid and the next day, spokespeople were saying something different. I said that you know whether it’s Florentino Perez’s opinion or not based on the journalist who is writing,” he concluded.
