The Lagos Safety Commission has sealed off Monaplax Company Limited, Ojota over safety infractions identified at the factory.
A statement issued by the Director-General, of Lagos Safety Commission, Lanre Mojola said the particular incident that caused the seal off of the company was due to an unreported accident involving a recently employed 29-year-old man identified as Mathew Eworo whose arms got mangled in a mixer while on night duty.

According to Mojola, preliminary investigations revealed that there was zero employee training, very poor housekeeping, and no health and safety policy or safety management system.
