“I will make life difficult for him”- Bologna defender draws first blood with Victor Osimhen

Napoli travel to Bologna in the Serie A this weekend off the back of a win, but Bologna defender has warned Osimhen ahead of the game.

Bologna centre back, Sam Beukema, has sent a warning message to Victor Osimhen ahead of the clash between his team and Napoli this weekend, reports.

Osimhen won the man-of-the-match award in Napoli’s narrow triumph at Braga during their midweek UEFA Champions League clash and is looking to help his team win at Bologna.

Beukema admitted that Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world and that he possesses abilities that can be a threat to any team and any defender in the world, but hopes to put in the work to ensure his team can keep the Nigerian quiet on Saturday.

In an interview with Corrieredellosport, the twenty-four-year-old Dutch defender said; “He is one of the best strikers in the league and I also think one of the best strikers in Europe, in this modern football. It will be a good challenge for me, and also for Lucumi.”

Osimhen scored twenty-six goals in the League last term, carting away the top-scorer award, and his feat with Gli Azzurri saw the Super Eagles striker nominated for the Ballon d’Or and FIFA Best Players award simultaneously, and Beukema wants to make life difficult for him this weekend.

“I think I will make life difficult for him on that day. At least I hope.”

The matchup will be a scintillating one, as Osimhen will look to prove the Bologna defender wrong and find the back of the net for the first time the International break.
