CDQ Blasts The Headies For Awarding Mayorkun ’Best Street Hop Artiste’ Instead Of Naira Marley (Photo)

The organizers of the 14th edition of the Headies awards have started receiving criticism just hours after the awards was held. Nancy Isime and Bovi graced the platform with their excellent hosting skills.

Fireboy DML took home with the most wards as he received four out the nine nominations. Wizkid the African superstar took home the two most prestigious awards being the Headies Viewers Choice and the Artiste of the Year. These were categories he competed Davido, Burna Boy and others.

Mayorkun of DMW records took home with the Best Street Pop Artiste of the year. However, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, popularly known by his stage name CDQ, a Nigerian indigenous hip-hop rapper and songwriter has criticized the Headies board for giving the awards to Mayorkun.

According to CDQ, Naira Marley deserves the award and not Mayorkun. He made this disclosure on his official Twitter page. He accused the board of engaging in politics.
